Is this an iron plant must be completely under water to grow?
… Or most of the plant is in the water and leaves too much? I was told that if a plant is not in the water going to die, but I find no plant site who said that. My sword plant in a glass container with gravel and 5 / 6 of the plant is completely under water, but the leaves stand out … Is it dying?
I know exactly what your talking about, years ago, Amazon could buy swords, which were submerged beautiful aquarium plants, then bought 20 years ago all I wanted to get out of the water, I think they were "variety radicans" (a slightly different form) now I am growing a plant called water plantain "that looks like the sword of Amazon, but it is a swamp plant roots under water and put aside, I suspect that many people buy the plants now this, probably because their home country, United States and probably cheaper (I'm out of my pond mine) You know a lot of plants sold as aquarium plants are not, they are just plants that can survive for some time under water
